Jewish Cemetery, Győr-Sziget, Temető utca

To commemorate the victims of one of the greatest barbarities of the 20th century, and perhaps of history, we planted two trees in the cemetery and dedicated memorial columns next to the trees. May the trees grow to the sky and remind us!

- Virág Sándor, Third-generation Survivor from Győr, living in Belgium, Vice-President of the Mensch Foundation
The tree planting was followed by the annual Holocaust commemoration organised by the Győr Jewish Community at 11:00 am. The video shown at the commemoration can be seen here.
